For infants, we perform an oral exam and clean the erupted tooth. For older children, a more in-depth cleaning, complete with scaling to remove plaque and tartar, flossing, and fluoride treatments is in store.

Once your child has developed their first and second molars, it is highly recommended that they receive dental sealants to protect against cavities. The molars have more grooves than other teeth, which makes them harder to thoroughly clean away food particles.
